When I sold OConnor, I only referenced him in this thread once he hit $3.9 million (he received no further bids). I only posted because he was going for twice what I thought he'd go for.

Ah right, yeah, I mean technically this isn't for sales but when a plaer goes high he usually ends up getting on here one way or another. O'Connor's price seemed rather high for the player so definitely warranted a place on here. :P

He then fell to 37 and was relisted at £9,999 - didn't sell

He sold this week for £999 !

Maybe I should have called him out here - do you think it makes a difference?

(I know it's a stupid question) if you didnt think it made a difference why would you guys do it !

I'm clearly lazy and got what I deserved !

Is that high enough to garner high bids?

There seems plenty of bats with "potential" CA in the late 30s and early 40s. It's the ones who have the ability to get to 45+ that sell for lots.

I need 2 or 3 good batsmen in my squad. So I dont want to stuck all of money in one batsman. That's why I am releasing him. When I bid him he was only 1.5m but unexpectedly he raise up to near 4m(all of my budget)..So, I should sell him.

Yeah. I've noticed recently that 2-3 teams have been buying high skilled players at high prices and then re-listing them again in a short space of time. It seems a bit strange.

I think there are 4 teams that have continued to do this on a consistent basis over the past year or so and its highly suspicious the number of times they have traded with each other as well.

Agreed i've noted a few instances of players bought... not played then relisted a day or 2 later. Strange way to run a cricket club.

I've done it a few times over the journey. Typically how it goes is this:

1. See player 1, want him, bid on him.

2. (a day or two later) See player 2, want him more than player 1 but not sure I'll get him, so bid on both.

3. Successfully buy player 1. Still bidding on player 2 since he's an upgrade on player 1.

4. Successfully buy player 2.

5. List player 1 since I don't need him anymore.

Or...

1. This player is great.
2. Bid.
3. Win auction.
...cold light of day...
4. This player is trash.
5. Put for sale

Thats a totally different scenario to the above as these managers are not doing that, they are spending 3.9m on a player then re listing, often being bought by one of the other 3 teams.

But... How does this benefit them if they are overpaying for other people's players?!?
