Season 22

Funny game. Boom Boreham tonked 26 runs from the penultimate over. Final over? Triple wicket maiden

FI somehow contrived to lose despite posting 4/195... Ricky Town ahead of the chase the whole way and won on the third last ball. I thought we might go ok this season but results so far are not looking promising!

I didn't think we scored enough runs but my bowlers defended our total well as we recorded a 57-run win. Boreham was the best performing bowler with 4 wickets. Bateson was on fire with the gloves - taking 7 catches! :)

Posted 168 and still managed to lose by the BP :| T20 still continues to elude me as I continue to tinker with both batting and bowling aggression. Can't really improve the team too much from what I've got available though.

The greatest T20?

Elemental Beasts took on Stueys Team at the latter's ground. With low moisture and wear, plus decent bounce, it looked a belter and anyone would want to bat first. The home team won that advantage and made full use. Intent shown from a 6 in the first over by Humphrey, they took the bowlers apart, until they lost 3 wickets in 6 balls to end the Powerplay on 60/4. Perry slammed everything in sight but fell too to give Koops a 3rd, scoring 30 off 14. Then Fooks took over, slamming both pacers and spinners, and racing to 52 off 19 balls. He also then fell soon after. Pearce had a brilliant 2 run 2 wicket 18th over to shift the momentum, but 18 slammed off the next over evened it out. Pearce then dismissed Ormond to take his 4th in a brilliant spell of 3.1-1-31-4. Stueys Team ended on 216.

Then the visitors began their innings. Captain Batcho started positively, but Theo Creech had the in from Madhur Ghosh out first ball. Milford edged behind soon after and suddenly, the Beasts were 18/2 in 3.1 overs. Then came Batcho and Zuyderhoff's destructive partnership. They slammed all deliveries in sight, and to the fence or over it. Batcho brought up his 50 off 30 balls, but would accelerate massively after. He went to 102 off his 51st delivery, but fell 3 balls later for a brilliant 106, ending a 136-run partnership off 69 balls. Turner came and went as Barnes bowled a fantastic 16th over, leaving the equation at 52 off 24 with 6 wickets left. Zuyderhoff took 10 off the 17th. Naeem fell cheaply but Brodie Hill launched his first 2 deliveries faced into the stands, and made the equation 28 off 12. McGrath found great rhythm to only give 8 off the penultimate over, meaning 20 were required off the last. Hill hit a huge six to start, and then ran 2. Creech responded with a dot ball, and then proceeded to have him out LBW. This brought pinch hitter Sampath Koops out with 12 off 2 needed. He hit his first ball for a massive six too, meaning it was now 6 off 1. However, although swinging hard, he couldn't nail it over the fence and managed a 4, as the home team got home by 1 run.

probably a good idea for teams to bat first against us this season if they want their bats to get a bat

Sabir and Solkar just gave The Globetrotters a good tonking on a 59 wear pitch. An entertaining opening partnership of 171 runs. Sabir scored 84 from 51 balls and Solkar got 85 from 55 balls. Team total: 215 :)

Must win game for FI (4th 16pts) against the Reds (6th 11pts) in Aus 1.1. Both sides have struggled a bit this season, and we're pretty evenly split for results in recent seasons so I expected a tight one.

As expected the Reds batting is much stronger than FI, but bowling is about the same and our fielding slightly better. They batted well, posting 186/8 with most of those 8 wickets falling in the last few overs. In reply, as I write this FI is 106/4 having just lost our two best bats in three balls, and slightly behind the required run rate. Up to the tail now but I fear that over from Chaudry has shifted the balance fatally for us.

Fell 30 runs short. Only two batsmen got any runs, not happy.
