On the contrary, please keep winning until after Friday. You can stop then.

So,

we need 1 point, we have chosen to bat first and hope LLH don't slog the crap out of my bowling attack.

So it's 1st v 2nd in the battle for promotion from Div 2.1 - The Night Watchmen v Resurrected Knights. The winner gets promoted. We've put them in to bat and they're 45/2 after 6.1 overs.

3 wickets in the over for Bains! 51/4 from 7.

EDIT: One for Wellman and one for Beales and we've really got them on the ropes - 71/6
EDIT: Another for Beales, 77/7 and ooh, the target reassessed message has appeared

WRW 107/1 (12overs), looking good so far. LLH will be hoping for some swift wickets.

Elemental Beasts took on Western Wonders as visitors today. Last time the teams met, it was a one-wicket thriller. Western Wonders had Lennox Addison and Thomas Jones each getting a 50, both striking over 150. Ronald Hilton had 0-41 and Samath Zuyderhoff finished with 1-59. But Jackson Warr, Zane Coxall and Janitha Ariyanayangam bowled superbly, finishing with figures of 0-23, 3-23, and 3-26 respectively. After 16 overs, Western Wonders were 143/2. But brilliant death bowling saw them only getting 29/4 in the last 4.

Back to the last time they met, Ibrahim Arafat was LBW first ball to Jon Ellison. This repeated again as Elemental Beasts were 0/1. Tikekar got a boundary on his first ball and struck 2 sixes in the 2nd over off Brian Parker. Zuyderhoff and Dorcas fell in a single over as they found themselves at 37/3 in 4 overs.

But Tikekar, who seemed to be striking cleanly today, and Ernie Turner, the most reliable player, had other plans. Turner stayed low, getting boundaries rather than maximums. Tikekar continued batting murderously and brought up his fifty with a six, of 22 balls.

The ninth over was definitely the most expensive, conceding 29 runs. It went like: dot, nb, SIX, SIX, FOUR, SIX, SIX. Tikekar moved to 81 from just 31 balls.

Quiet overs followed until Turner struck 12 off the twelfth and 11 off the thirteenth. He brought up a 31 ball 50 in the 15th over and the scored read 161/3 at the end of it. Tikekar struck a six to reach 99 and another to seal the game with his 48-ball 105, his second T20 hundred.

Resurrected Knights finish 120 all out, Bains taking 6/28, missing out on his career best by one run. I'd be very disappointed if we didn't win from here.
