KryptoKnights Retired Hall of Fame

Hey Guys

This is a Thread ive been thinking about a for a while , my club is at the point where some of my best and arguably some of the best SA has produced is at the end of their careers . I'm gonna use this thread to say a final goodbye and also share their feats and accolades . I have grown fond of these imaginary players and i feel the need to write up some end of career portfolio and celebrate them . Most of these players would have had international careers or would've felt hard done by not to have gotten a shot and their stats will show this clearly . This is for me personally so feel free to ignore when i start writing the end of career write ups .

Captain oh captain bellowed throughout the hallways when this mammoth finally decided to hang up his hat . How do you pay diffidence to a man that made a club was the sentiment relaid by the club manager .

Folkert made his debut as an original KryptoKnight back in stumped season 5 as the new management arrived in division 3 . Everyone was adamant that he had unrivaled potential as an all round cricketer in all aspect of the game . His work ethic and captaincy as well as blinding skills and the occasional reverse swinging Yorker in the latter part of the innings was trademark , a true leader playing 244 matches as captain for his club. The undisputed club captain finally got an opportunity in the international fray and played 29 internationals 15 as Captain .

The youthful looking 31 year old stated it is time to move and not hold spots up for youngsters. He decided he will try and secure a spot with an overseas club or maybe get a position as coach or groundsman and if that doesn't work out he will hang up his boots for good .

I truly believe any club will be lucky to have him . He has racked up over 6000 runs for the club at a average of just over 38 at an incredible career strike rate of 105 . Not bad for a player that also got 424 wickets at an average of just over 24 . The man played 317 matches for his club as a stalwart "Salute" .

In an incredible career like this to highlight just a couple of things feels impossible . As an south African fan seeing him hit a ball with tremendous power at a strike rate of 130 plus in ODI and a SR of 172 in T20i in his short international stint will always be memorable . Every inning he got runs was incredible to watch due to his ferocious striking , all 6530 career runs was a highlight . Folkert never truly struck fear into batsman as a bowler however was truly a last generation of fast medium swing bowling and a 23 career average and economy of 4.26 showed that he was always dependable and he used himself well within a very special group of players .

"Captain oh Captain" Oh how true this is , the level of success Folkert has achieved as a captain is unrivaled in KryptoKnights history . Since he walked out for his first division one OD match as captain the side has never been demoted , even till the last match he wore his tired looking captains baggy .3 OD titles with last coming last season is testament to the ultimate club captain . Farewell Captain oh Captain .
