The ball tampering trio are back  Will be interesting to see what they get up to and the english media can do their job and keep them on their toes!

And M.Marsh...somehow back in the squad

I'm astounded that Alex Carey is not in the squad. Oh well, I mean I'm kind of glad

Alex Carey isn't in the squad because Tim Payne is captain … there's no other reason.

There are some interesting selections in the Aussie squad. Mitch Marsh has been very poor at test level and has been given a lot of chances. I don't know why he's been selected. Kurtis Patterson, Joe Burns and Alex Carey are all unlucky to make the squad.

It should be a good series. England will have to lift their game compared to the way they played against Ireland recently. ;)

I worry about Englands top order, especially the opening partnership.

I hope Roy can make the transition to test matches successfully! I have massive doubts about Burns!

Aye. I like Denly, though he's not produced yet. But Burns has looked pretty terrible recently.

I think Roy will likely get a handful of 50s at a decent rate this Ashes...and a handful of failures. Which is kind of what you'd expect.

The problem is that you don't expect Burns to stick around with him. And you need him to.

The bowler match up is key:

Pattinson, Hazlewood, Cummins, Starc, Siddle
vs
Anderson, Broad, Woakes, Archer, Curran

England need Burns, Denly, Bairstow and Ali to step up.

England's bowling attack very solid,

you forgot Stokes & Ali!! They could all play 7 no probs.
