750k for an almost 31 year old is not a good deal to be honest.

Being a late bloomer changes things as he's about the equivalent of a 26 or 27 year old "normal" player. I do think 750k might be a bit much but someone may bite.

Is that how much a 44 bat with no secondaries at all goes for? Well, jeez. I guess I need to start selling some of my players for 5mil plus.

If you've got players that are worth a whole batting lineup's worth of 44 bats then geez, you may be right :P

You're suggesting a 4 to 5 years worth of a difference in skills for a late bloomer. I don't know why but I am inclined to say this is exaggeration.

If it is that much, then late bloomers are training faster than their rate of depletion.

Do you have any data to suggest it really is that much?

I do have a bit more experience than most due to tracking Australian NAT candidates. It varies a lot by sublevels, but I'd say 4-5 seasons is a fair guess. Where a 'normal' player is at around 28ish, I'd say late bloomers hit around 32.

Late bloomers do last 4-5 seasons longer than normal players at their peak. I haven't seen any normal player stay within 2 points of peak skill into their 30s. They are 4-5 points from peak by this time. Like James said a 30 year old late bloomer is more or less equivalent to a 26/27 year old normal player.
