By the way, welcome to Stumped! I hope you enjoy playing the game. Feel free to ask questions. There are lots of friendly managers here who are happy to help. :)

The best place to ask questions is in the Beginners Section Forum. You can either start your own thread or use an existing thread that is relevant to your questions.

That's a really great youngster you've picked up. Such high potential is very rare! I'd advise you to spend your money wisely and keep staff wages under control. Managing finances well is crucial in this game. All the best :)

Thank you very much Mr. Mod Tonk! I didn't mean that you were angry, I was just kidding. :)

Thanks again for all your tips. I will make use of the beginners section extensively as per your advice.

You are right about finances. When, where, how and what to spend on is very important. Thanks for that advice as well.

I'm grateful for your welcome and support. Eager to interact more with you and others.

I thank the Nelson team manager Vaughan86 for buying Tharindu Wijeratne for $5,853,390. Is that a Stumped record? If so, I'm overwhelmed.

In our short period of existence, we played well and came closer to breach the 100 mark with 103 in the world rankings. Currently we slipped a bit to 114. We played till R5 before we crashed out of the Stumped Cup.

All your support and help motivates me to do more from here on. Thanks to everybody. Hope you'll be hearing the Wolf's howls often.

Thanks for the advice. Even before this sale, we have a first choice team whose strength is striking above 60K. Our next target is to cross 65K and build a strong youth team as well, which must cross 50K, which is perfectly syncing with your advice.

This transfer suprises me, i bought at a time i was down to 4 bowlers but quickly got another and tried to sell all last season, listed him at 0 more than 5 times, dont remember exactly but lot more times for sure and he never got sold.

At times wanted to fire than pay his wages everyweek but tried selling him many times. In the end got lucky and offloaded him.

Now his team is able to sell for 400k where i could hardly get him any attraction  transfer market.

Depends on demand supply. I purchased him and paid at this price because

1. I only have one decent bowler. So now ullah becomes my second go to bowler.
2. He can bat a little and lately my tail has been collapsing a lot. So hopefully he strengthens it.
3. He still hasn't reached his potential and is around 24. So that gives me at least 4-5 good seasons.
4. I wish I didn't have to pay that big a sum but his purchase was an important choice I had to make. I failed to purchase a player for similar skill set few days ago. He was sold for 100k. So 4 times that definitely hurts but not as much when you have some extra dough lying around.

With a small userbase, the market is extremely variable - there aren't many buyers or sellers so if buyers are on the prowl and there isn't much to buy then prices are high. If the few buyers aren't out to play then it can be much harder to sell players. Around the end of the season, prices were very low probably because everyone was having a clearout, possibly replacing older players with their own youth players. I made the mistake of selling a couple of players then and was really dissapointed with the prices I got.

Looking now, prices seem much higher. Not sure why the recent surge. Would agree with you - the price this bowler looks very high. Suspect if he was sold at season end, he may have gone for few thousand. But if a few teams wanted a bowler now and he was all that was available then teams have to pay it I suppose.

I agree to all the points for the demand and supply and yes he has potential that is why even i bought in first place and played few games but couldn't get him in consistently.

But when it was hard to move him out for 1k half of the season then seeing the new team put him back in market just in next 5 days of their purchase and cash in 385K more hurts( i would understand if it was different timing in market like mid season to season end but was within 5 days such a big transfer to struggle of moving him out made me post it here)
