Any chance that the draw for Round 4 (this weekend) could be made?

For the fourth consecutive round I try my best to throw the game. Hopefully James puts me out of my misery.

Knocked out of the cup, batting depth is a real problem. I have had a specific plan for bringing on the team for 4-5 seasons. At the core of the plan was raising up some new batting talent. So ever since then I've been trying to buy a batsman with decent potential; in earnest for about 3 seasons as I got increasingly desperate. I still haven't managed to land one. In that time I have grabbed an opener (Yaqoob, potential 13/16/16 cost $720k) and an allrounder (Marshall potential 12/19/15 cost $1m) but they are not really good enough to be the core of a div 1 team - their skills are poorly distributed, and Marshall in particular is a bit older than I wanted. And I probably overpaid for both! Unfortunately this lack of new blood means we're in a bit of a death spiral, I have a couple of pretty big batting holes right now and they are only going to get bigger over the next 4-5 seasons as my older players age out with no replacements. I don't have any option but to pray for some decent pulls to rebuild around; or that someone sells a decent batsman that none of the richer clubs notices!

On the bright side, my bowlers are pretty good and there is some talent in the next generation, so I'm not too worried there.

Through to round 5 after thrashing Cricketfan XI. My batting has been brutally good this last month and I hope they actually let Face have a bat before EOS.

oof
Drew world number 2 Kashmir Warriors for round 5. Luckily at home as I look to plan for the games around it as well as the game itself.

This week hasn't been our week in the seniors :| Gonna be chasing 300+ here so we're probably out in r5, disappointing effort by all the bowlers here but also extremely lucky batting as basically none of the chances have gone near fielders. Will take a monster effort from the bats and don't see it happening, at least I won't have to worry about the cup/condition from here on out.

Gotta love the top order run-outs of blocking into packed infields in the powerplay and running...

Bats making a goodfist of it atm, though losing Ascott and Bowden one after the other means we're still up against it. Shorten starting to take the intitive is helping as he's striking the ball well now, just need him to bat through and Face to support...
