Re: Season 21 Cup
Seems like the boys are determined to see this through, Shorten brings up his hundred as Face whacks a few to the fence to reduce the equation to 42 off 54 with 6 wickets in hand, surely we have it but with how the week's gone so far who knows...

Re: Season 21 Cup
Somehow make it through with an unbeaten 88 run stand between Shorten and Face, Shorten finishing on 131* as Face is stranded on 47* to wrap up the 6 wicket win. Through to round 6 I guess, even if our shaky form-line is concerning atm. Good way for the bats to respond after Friday's dismal effort (our bowling performance on the other hand also took a 180, though in the wrong direction today!).

Got close to Gaukrodger today but playing a weakened bowling attack cost us.
Jawad had fun though...

Re: Season 21 Cup
I feel like the cup match should’ve been done for this Sunday instead of the next after the delay we had earlier in the season, now the cup mightn’t end till EOS (like we’ll get that far anyway).
Tough matchup against Cunning, but luckily like the previous draw got a home game so hoping we continue our dominance at home.

I understand where you are coming from but I don't think it's much of an issue. This season's final will probably be played during the off-season. This has happened a couple of times before when the Cup draw was delayed by one week.

I hope it's a tough matchup. TBH I think you'll have the upper hand though. Perhaps the weather will help me.
Re: Season 21 Cup
Pulled Nelson in my top 16 Match , i feel this is when my good run this season stops . Been a good run as the top performing south African team. Would be awesome if i could create an upset and equal my best performance in Cup . The only time Ive ever gotten to the quarter finals was back in season 13 .

Re: Season 21 Cup
Well, not much to be done when the least suited bowler has the most impact in a game while Parish plays an absolute shocker on a spinners deck. Need to revisit the batting tactics, idk why what on paper is such an explosive batting line-up has failed so miserably recently. Work well for the fist 8 or so weeks so not sure what's so different but hopefully just needs a small tinkering. And the positive is that I don't have to worry about cup or condition really from here on out, and I also avoided drawing Velicoraptors
Well done to Odin's boys for doing what needed to be done on the road; chasing down a pathetic total comfortably.

Re: Season 21 Cup
I made it through to the next round but face Nelson next which should be the end of the road for me this season.
Huge credit must go to Samlant for getting me past Northdown by picking up 5 wickets at the ripe old age of 33. He's still my top wicket taker this season and he passed the 1000 career wicket mark against Northdown (excluding friendlies and national games). Looks like I might have to give him one more season.
