Transfer Market Action

Postby MOD-tonk6464 » Tue Oct 10, 2017 1:43 pm

A thread to discuss all transfer market action.

There have been many very good players on the Transfer market recently. Rtj and RP's new team policies have had a large role in that. Interesting times. ;)

I refused to bid over 5.5M for Batt. THough I think Brierley was a good buy for RTJ

Brierley is a nice player. Im worried he might be a bit hit and miss with the shot selection but then again all players are sometimes. I think I overpaid a little for him (3-3.5m) would be a fair price. Andrew Batt is a player of a generation, you dont get many like him IG, I think 5.5m is fair in the current market but as you say going over 5.5m is a bit needless especially with players like Fakhir going for 2m.

Legend Killers line up could be tasty if they spend wisely.

Im interested in opinions of a prospective player, no names given but his stats are roughly

8 ss 17 def 17 att, reasonable secondaries. He is at about peak in terms of skill (maybe room for an imrpvoement or two but not much).

Has anyone had experience with players like this, will he be consistent enough to perform and inevitably, shall I buy him? :)

I've just seen your squad. Surely owning a player like Marishque Puvimanasinghe automatically renders it immoral for anyone to give you advice

Still lots to learn :).

(I still can't believe Puvimanasinghe didn't get a free ticket into the England squad... And No, I'm totally not bitter about it  [Although they did finish 9th...])

Actually, on closer inspection I can see that he's rubbish. Happy to take him off your hands for 500,000

NFS :P. I'd probably accept offers for anything over 9m. (i.e. stupid offers).

Been thinking for a while this thread ought to be renamed.

As well as rtj and rp, there has been a lot of transfer activity in the NZ leagues. I feel like I'm playing catch up to Lamb, Durham E. and Elite who all bought well in the off season.

If certain managers would log in and notice the offers I've made on their players then we could have even more fun :p
