Re: Season 35 Cup matches

Bot bashing for my main and affiliate in Round 1. Good opportunity to give some youngsters extra training.

Re: Season 35 Cup matches
Knocked off Oxfoam with a blistering hundred to Rodgers and a 4 wicket burst from Lamula, playing mooo in the second round as we'll be looking to defend this title, though with our squad a bit depleted due to a lot of our depth aging out of dev and thus being moved on, it'll be interesting to see how deep we can go and still be competitive in the leagues.

Re: Season 35 Cup matches
We are into the last 32. This is previously unheard of. We signed a fast bowler a few hours prior to the match. He went straight into the starting eleven, took a five-for and grabbed MOTM. It's downhill from here

Re: Season 35 Cup matches
So we have reached the Round of 16 for Season 35 CUP.
So who are the hopefuls, striving to achieve cup glory? Below a brief preview of the upcoming fixtures
Idle Wanderers (47) v Surepuro 11 (19)
Idle Wanderers go into this fixture heavy underdogs based on world rankings. However they boast strong wicket taking ability, J.Lanigan joint 1st in the wicket taking tally (13) & D.Butcher joint 3rd on (11)
Ataraxia (4) v The Brisbane Lions (20)
Ataraxia have been run machines within the cup so fa with top CUP run scorer within their side, I.Zahid (372) & M.Mncwabe has played an important role with (348)
The Bar Is Open (30) v Atarax Wellington (60)
F.Nxamalaa is joint 2nd in the wicket taking tally with (12)
West Row Wyverns (14) v Wallsend Slipway (56)
The fixture with the biggest gap between the sides... perhaps an underdog story on the cards for Wallsend Slipway? They will have to keep restrict S.Passe from improving on his wicket tally (11) who currently sits at 3rd in the bowling rankings
Setemares (5) v Jims XI (7)
A real heavyweight clash. Setemares will look to S.Bhatti to continue his run making exploits (368) places him 2nd in the rankings though Jims XI will be hopeful J.Crittal can grab some wickets to improve on his wicket tally of (12)
Dark Lairds of the Etive (23) v Woodys Wolverines (11)
Dark Lairds have been strong run makers in the CUP thus far. T.Wickremesigne (359) sits in 3rd & M.Hashim (351) in 4th. The Wolverines will look to R.Silver to take some further wickets here (12) in joint 2nd
Daft Serious CC (9) v The Tonkers (1)
The Tonkers have wicket taking prowess with J.Christopher (13). The fixture is an opportunity of Daft Serious star man L.Randall to catch up on his peers the the run charts who currently sits in 6th with (308)
Marvellous Effort That (6) v (Legend Killers (3)
Another heavyweight clash, either side worthy of a spot in the next round.

Leading the Woodpeckers (main) and Wolverines (affiliate) nowhere fast.

Re: Season 35 Cup matches
The Tonkers bowled out Daft Serious cheaply, with Punnoose taking 4 wickets, and chased the target comfortably.
It was a close match between Marvellous Effort That and Legend Killers. Legend Killers chased the target with just 4 wickets and 7 balls to spare. Excellent century by Zulu. Well played Legend Killers.

Ha! Zahid and Mncwabe only got 47 runs between them.
Well played ataraxia, I thought 317 should have been enough and at 188/5 I thought it was only a matter of time. Alas it wasn't to be

I thought you were well on top the whole game! Crazy knock from Naidoo in particular.
Felt that I've been extremely lucky in the Cup this season, especially with the affiliate who have had 4 surprise victories on the bounce, and they all went down to the wire. Looking at the draw for next week, that luck will certainly have to continue – overcoming 10K rating differences doesn't come easily!

Re: Season 35 Cup matches
Well... I'm not sure how this has happened but we've reached a 2nd cup final in 4 seasons.
Our semi final was tough but main talking point was shuttleworth. Sold earlier this season by legend killers to West Row he scored a ridiculous match winning 133 to put the game basically beyond doubt, forcing his former team out. Albeit this was clearly just the warm up for a tough fight in semi 2...
The 2 biggies, sete and tonks, arguably a final bout, was decided by sone Lusty late order blows from sete setting tonks a target of 300. Tonks kept up with the rate but regular wickets told and tonks fell short.
So an all English final, sete v west row, sete won the cup back in season 20 and will be favourites to claim a second title. The triple could be on fir sete with a big t20 clash on wednesday
West row have never lost a cup final winning 4 from 4... but this will be their hardest challenge to date.
