Hameed has absolutely turned this match on it's head! :o
32 off the last over to not only bring up a hundred, but make a career best t20 score and put us in a commanding position. 2-60 off the first ten, followed by 5-122 off the last ten, mostly off Hameeds blade!

Ran out easy winners in the end, but after the first 12 or 13 overs it didn't look like we would even get a defendable total. Had to rely on an outstanding knock from Hameed but it's an important 2nd win and that's all that matters

Great game from FI today to beat Fartland with a couple of overs to spare. All our bowlers performed well with some bumps. Opener Nabeel was great throughout keeping it tight and taking wickets to claim 2/27 from his overs. Youngster Sohail was equally pleasing - after a blowout in his opening spell he was at 0/24 off two, but bowled excellent line and length at the death to finish with 2/38. None of Fartland's international bats got going, Zaca the best in the opening spot with 44 (31) - maybe the Zimbabwe manager* should have included him on that form!

Our batsmen then put on a controlled performance, particularly Pipe who celebrated his call-up to the Aussie team with a dominant 66* (44), supported by the "attack or die" Rabbani who smashed an unbeaten 33 at almost 2 runs per ball. Very pleasing effort.

It's only our second win of the season, leaving us firmly in relegation zone... but perhaps a glimmer of hope for survival? Lauderdale currently occupies the 5th spot, with a substantially better NRR and 6 points on us. We play next week. We really need a win, preferably with a BP which would give us very close total results for the first half of the season. A loss would mean almost certain demotion.

Ascott once again topscored today...but in an abysmal batting display allround. Only he and Kudesia got past 20, scoring 29 and 28 respectively as we scraped through to finish 8-127 as their worst bowler returned outstanding figures of 4-13 from 4 overs and Ritter must've thought he was batting for them scoring 12* off 21 :|

Bowlers had to bail us out, missing regular captain Ntombela, and they did with aplomb, gaining us the BP as we ran out 31 run victors. Ritter made up for his batting with 3-22 as Moseley continued his demand for more senior games with 2-14 and Donda mopped up the tail to finish with 2 to continue his misery, dominate ways over div 2 batting units. Couple of bullet arms helped out the bowlers as we move within a point of Wickers Warriors atop the ladder, but Idle aren't far behind either as the three of us duke it out over the 2nd half shortly to decide who moves up.

Good day in t20 for me today,

We stuffed Sun Warriors who had caused a few upsets already this season. Our bowlers tore them apart and we chased it in 11 overs.

Our affiliate beat Gaukrodger, another big scalp to add to the ever growing list of decent teams our affiliate is regularly beating. Very tight at the top of the div 2 t20 table with Breaking Winds leading by a BP.

Big win for us over Lauderdale takes us to just one point below survival at the half way point, which is better than I thought we'd be!

Very pleasing performance led by the youngsters Snellgrove - promoted to opening he smashed the Lauderdale bowlers for very quick half century. Support came from dev player Rabbani who has some potential as a clean T20 striker but had failed to show it until today. He managed 47 off 24, falling just short of a maiden half century. Our bowlers showed them how its done, led by internationals Bowles and Abeysundere with 5/37 between them.

Snellgrove would have taken PoTM but his single over of bowling in the powerplay contributed almost 20% of the Lauderdale innings total! Terrible. He is definitely batting focussed as an allrounder!

Main team clocked up 226 and got a bp win to put us 5 points clear.

Affiliate ground out a win on a tough pitch to send us 2 points clear, the first time we've led all season.
