That's 10.
I'm closing entries unless someone drops out.
It's likely to move forward as and when I have time. I'll put a suggested list of 9 rounds out soon. Debate welcomed!

As it stands you've missed it, sry. If a space opens up, you're in.

Here is the draft of possible rounds, not yet put in order.
Easy as ABC:
Players must play in family name order. 'da Silva' begins with d
Extra Bonus point if you play 2 players with the same family name
Ban the bastard!:
1 week prior to the game your opponent may ban one of your players.
Everyone bowls:
Each person bowls 5 overs in 1 single spell
Age before beauty:
Play in age order, youngest first
Crazy lose game:
4 points to losing team, 2 for a tie. Bonus point goes to lowest rating on the day
Highest partnership:
4/2/0 points. The bonus point in this case goes to whichever team has two successive partnerships in the list
i.e. if you have highest and second highest, you get it. If you have second and third highest, you get it
Bullseye
Whoever is closest to 35000 rating wins 4 points. Bonus point to whoever wins the match
Mind your ps and qs:
Choose a letter of the alphabet. All players must have that letter somewhere in their name.
Seam/Spin only:
You may only play players listed as seamers. (or only spinners)
Alright then:
Only right handers (or only left handers)
Out with the old:
You must field the youngest 6 and oldest 5 players in your club roster
Bonus round:
It's a normal game, but there are up to 6 extra bonus points as follows: (I like this for the last round)
most different hobbies
most nationalities
most different types of bowler who bowl at least 5 overs, left and right count as different
most different talents
most home-grown players
most players at least 30 year old
Double wicket game
Choose two bowlers to open the innings. They bowl 10 overs straight.
Choose two openers. Only runs scored by those two batsmen in the first 10 overs count. (Thanks James I like it)
Let me know in the comments which of these you love/hate, and if you have any other fab suggestions. I left off 'dev players only' and 'T20 in 50 over' because they didn't thrill me last time, but I'm open to them. Decision to be made final in a week or so.

How many rounds are we doing? There are 12 rules, which means we could probably fit in a couple of extra teams to ensure everyone plays everyone.
I like the rules - just that it is possible some people might struggle to obey some of them, while others (e.g. seamers/spinners only) might be a little too easy. But I suppose it's hard to avoid one or the other.
Other possible rules that I think have been floated before:
- Most boundaries wins (sorry, New Zealand).
- Reverse of above, most runs *not* in boundaries wins.
- Most "death overs" runs (in the last 10 overs) wins.
- Double wicket game: same two players open the batting and bowl their 10 overs straight from the start, only runs scored by one pair against the other pair count.
Think there were others in the original VRC, but they have long been lost to the famous server crash, unfortunately.
Also, I think we should have a rule that you can't buy players or keep ones you'd otherwise fire/sell just to play in the VRC. That sort of defeats the purpose.
