Please check what I have, and let me know if any errors. This should happen before the draw for the finals takes place, which will be soon after round 7 is complete. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0

Hope you're all enjoying the VRC!

Really enjoying the competition, some great ideas for the rounds.
As for the table looks correct to me

Winner of T20 1.1 season 21 & 24

Winner of International T20 - Season 12 & 22

League B much quicker to run games :D. I assume the finals are between the top two teams from each league? What craziness can you come up with to cap off this comp?! It's been fun, if slightly crazy with the self-organised games.

This was published on page 3 of this thread:

Quarter final starting Apr 17th
Everyone bowls:
Each person bowls 5 overs in 1 single spell

Semi final starting Apr 24th
Mind your ps and qs:
Choose a letter of the alphabet. All players must have that letter somewhere in their name.

Final starting May 1st
Out with the old:
You must field the youngest 6 and oldest 5 players in your club roster

I may change the dates depending on whether the previous round is complete.
Yes it will be a crossover, also pre-posted on page 4 of this thread :)

If both teams fail to fulfill the criteria then who goes through to finals?
NAT Manager- India (Season 16-17), Bangladesh (Season 10-15)
NAT Assistant- Bangladesh (Season 8-9), Pak (Season 20-22), SL (Season 24-25)
SL 1.1 Champions x 7- Dev- Season 9, 10, 11, 23, 24 + T20- Season 17, 18, World Rank 4, SL Rank 1 on 18.5.2020

Don't know.

I'd be very very surprised if a team couldn't do this, digging into youth squad. I have 16/25 with an e, and 22/25 with an a.

Teams who feel they are unable to meet the requirements for the letters round should let me know. We'll work something out.

Not to be pedantic but what are the matchups?

I'm guessing the brackets are something like

Code: Select all

QF1: 1.1 vs 2.4 \
                 -- SF1: winners QF1 vs QF2 \
QF2: 1.2 vs 2.3 /                            \
                                              -- Final: winners SF1 vs SF2
QF3: 2.2 vs 1.3 \                            /
                 -- SF2: winners QF4 vs QF3 /
QF4: 2.1 vs 1.4 /

Almost too easy - all but one of my first XI has got an e in their name so I could just play full strength. Maybe suggest some weighting be applied based on scrabble value of the letter to give an incentive for more obscure lineups? :D.

Is there any love for this?
I'm happy to do it if you all are. Just seems less likely that folk will be able to find 11 that have a p.
Replies below - Do you like liquefy's scrabble idea Y/N?
