Looks like the problem is spreading. Santosh is running loads of DEV leagues of varying formats but the software doesn’t stop managers picking anyone from their squad irrespective of age. He’s obviously busy and/or been bombarded with requests to reverse matches because I’ve been asking for several days for at least three matches to be sorted. It’s a shame managers are not taking the time to either set default orders or change their team regularly because it spoils the point of the friendly league. I messaged one manager and was told to p*** off, so now I email my opponent prior to the game in the hope they’ll comply with the rules. I’ve raised the selection problem in BUGS so hopefully this will be resolved at some point.

Yeah. The whole tournament has become a bit of a farce. None of my requested reversals have taken place so it looks like Santosh has lost interest. I emailed my affiliates opponent this week asking about their intentions but received no reply. After getting thrashed in the last few games I decided to play over-age players because they did the same last game. Turns out my opponent did play over-age players, so at least both teams broke the rules. We still lost but at least we didn't get stuffed this time.

I hereby give warning to any teams that Cow Corner still have to play that there will be over-age players in my side because I feel that it's the only way to make a protest about this situation. My main team will continue to play DEV squad members.

Actually bumping this one last time. I'll refrain from joining these kind of friendly leagues from now on.. like 50/t20 set up for u21s.

Will honour the rules one last time tomorrow. Afterwards.. will simply play my default xi. Have lost interest. Agree with whatever Paul said.

The problem is that it's up to the managers to set youth orders, the U21 T20 format doesn't exist in the software. Would be nice to be able to set age limits in the friendly page but this probably involves a lot of programming from Rob/Andy...

Agree. I've raised this in BUGS and I'm pretty sure I've seen a response somewhere from Rob, so he is aware. Hopefully this will be resolved once all the new seasons stuff is sorted. Unfortunately the way that the competition has been treated by some managers has made it a farce and I'm not going to enter any more DEV friendly leagues until it is resolved.
