Australian National Prospects

Postby ltraynor » Wed Sep 16, 2020 9:47 am

It's that time of the season again. Nats should be coming soon so we're scouting out some amazing talent for the one day arena. We've had a few key players who are getting on in their years (by stumped standards) and it's time for some fresh blood. As usual James is pretty much on top of the scouting but in case anyone has fallen under the radar please reach out if you want your player to be considered for selection.

Batsman and Allrounders are particularly in demand at Nat level right now. Whereas our bowling stocks are stronger than ever.

Not a batsman but Takkar is up to 46 currents. Good fielder and bullet arm. Getting quicker as well aiming for 100mph with his effort ball eventually

Definitely in our sights. Faster Bowling will definitely increase his chances.

It's a matter of when not if with Root. He'll play at some point very soon no doubt about it. With a name like that we couldn't pass the opportunity.
He may have to make a cameo against England regardless haha

I know your keeping stocks are pretty strong, but Ellery is still around although I couldn't keep him at 40 skill as he sometimes struggles to get a bat.

Fills the criteria you want in a keeper though, even has handy stamina for what it's worth

Also Cairns is more a future prospect, and I doubt he has much of a chance, but he's a similar player to Ellery so you never know.

Neither of these are up for selection this season, but who knows what the future holds. You need to pull another Bowden or a Sitch instead of these Rhodesians haha

Pipe is 42 current aggressive (15/10/17). Dunno if that's nat quality but he's a solid mid order bat for me.

He's not far off liquefry, might be in the reserve column though as I can't see him knocking anyone that we have at the moment. Given ODI has a condition aspect to it though reserves often get a game or two so he's good to have in the back pocket.

Yeah didn't expect him to be a front runner but thought I'd give you his skills just in case you need a backup.
