Pulled this guy today. Not sure if he's National level, maybe if his fielding gets super high? A nice player for my affiliate and handy starting skills regardless, useful to replace some of the 'older' players soon to end their DEV careers.

Also if his bowling is improved he may be useful as a fill-in bowler. Have added him to the sheet. Thanks.

William Torquil is probably already on the spreadsheet, but just wanted him to be here for reference. Very talented at 53 potential, and with his stamina along with 18 in defence potential and 19 SS potential, he’s a surefire candidate to open for South Africa one day, or at least play in the top order. He’s a southpaw too which’ll help in case you have a shortage of left handed batsmen at the time.

He’s going to be playing at least twice a week for me plus training, aiming for him to be playing in the two longer formats batting at 3 (reason that he won’t open for us right now is that I have a left handed with the opener trait whom I’m trying to rescue who has to open every game, and to maintain a L-R combo I need my right handed top order batsman to partner him) He should start getting T20 games soon enough but I’m currently quite competitive in my league so he’ll probably have to wait until the retirement of my senior batsman Lodi in about a season to get a guaranteed place in all formats.

Do you have any advice for training? Not sure whether I should train SS or Defence initially , leaning towards the latter as it will have less of a negative impact on his still formidable attacking skill while he’s still very young.

I'm pretty sure its best to alternate training... so get a pop and then switch to the other
