Interestingly poised game against India....they batted well to get to 300 when we were looking to restrict them to 250-275.The orders have come out out funny and somehow gave Pretorious 4 overs at the end rather than Bernstein...funnily enough Pretorious actually ended up bowling better than Opperman at the death despite being being more suited to the opening phase (where he got tonked).

Richmond bagged an unlucky dismissal for the bazillionth time as he got out on first ball of the match. Fouche and Mncwabe looked to be putting on a rapid stand but Fouche has just fallen for 19. Gwynn now has an opportunity to perform after he failed in his first match...hope that he comes good!

My nerves are shot, one hell of a game against India and finally a close game going our way and against log leaders. This sa squad is really good and you guys have managed it very well, the internationals is going to be close with six nations fighting for 2 semi final spots with one last game to play. Incredible international season coming to an exciting end. Gwynn and the late order bats dissapointing with the bowlers completing an incredible game, finally a little break from heart brake for sa fans.

Pretty chuffed with the result. Rumble and Novak looked to be taking us home comfortably before Rumble got bowled while attacking. I'll admit, I got quite nervous when both all-rounders went without doing much, and more so when Novak was trapped LBW and it looked like we were about to see a repeat of the Sri Lanka game! Thankfully there wasn't RR pressure and Pretorious has 17 attack skill (albeit with terrible, terrible defence and shot selection!) so his little cameo was very helpful as him and Schmidt hit the final few runs.

Good outings for Mncwabe and Rumble with 117 and 86 respectively. Although Fouche's 19 and Gwynn's 29 were absolutely crucial in the partnerships they built with Mncwabe after early wickets fell. Wasn't a day for the bowlers from either side other than Sarwar, Bernstein bowled well for his 2/60 and Pretorious somehow managed to get 3 while going for only 87 runs - could've been a whole lot worse after he somehow ended up bowling at the death.

Anyways, it's nice that we managed to take down all of the Big 3 nations this tournament. Our sights are now set on the final game against New Zealand and with a bit of fortune, the knockouts beyond that. :)

Well that was a great end to an incredible international seasons group stages. Congrats to India, England and Australia for yet again making semi finals. A special congratulations to my home nation's managers South Africa. 4th time in our history that we made the semi finals, very greatfull for the team, lightning you've done very well and it's a good consolation for just just missing out on the t20s. A special thank you to yvrk for always answering me and being approachable. I am a very happy SA fan. Also extremely proud to have developed the leading wicket taker of this season on the groups. SA has a lot to be happy about anything from here is icing on the cake for me personally....

Semi finals kicking off in 3 and a half hours , India Vs England and Aus Vs SA . Should be incredible games . Very happy with ground conditions for the SA game however sure Aus will be incredibly tough to overcome . Ind/Eng also on a great pitch so going to enjoy watching both . GO PROTEAS .....

SA Chasing a massive 323 with the 5th wicket partnership 137 between Joe Root 97 and Sam Ellery 65 hurting SA who did well to get Aus down 145 for 4 in the 30th over even tough opener Derek Truelove scored a great 73. Joe Root 97 of 66 is a incredible performance in a semi and could be a match winning one .Opperman did well to bring it back with a very good 4 of 10 for 70 picking up Ellery and Root which could have put this above and beyond reason . This is a very big total to chase but has been done before , good pitch and SA has the batsman so you never know . Aus is favorites at the half way point .

India also scored a good total of 300 and in their game it was the 3rd wicket partnership of 177 between Ikshan Thuraisingham with a massive 147 n/o and Jayant Nagin just missing out on a hundred with 93.This is still a bit more get able total on another good batting pitch than the other above mentioned so no clear favorites here with IND a small margin ahead imo . Ikshan Thuraisingham anchored with the huge score of 147 n/o .

Eish ,,,, Rumble and Vermaaks incredible run comes to an end at the worst possible time . Both players averaging over 100 in internationals before this game . SA in big trouble and scoreboard pressure seems to have been too much , massive collapse from 211 for 5 to 225 for 8 , this should be the end for an incredible run . Proud of SA .
